Dr. Tammy Atkinson

Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Atkinson is the clinical director of the Chiropractic Pain & Injury Center. She is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and has been in practice for over 16 years. Dr. Atkinson has received advanced post-doctoral training in MRI and is trained through both chiropractic and medical academia to order and evaluate MRIs. She has taken over 135 hours of post graduate training in Advanced MRI training.

Her experience focuses on caring for spinal related issues, which range from trauma related cases as a result of accidents, sports injuries to disc injuries cases.

Dr. Atkinson firmly believes that educating a patient about their condition is paramount to the patient’s recovery. She educates her patients on posture, biomechanics, and injury prevention. She believes that no matter how a patient presents, and no matter what their condition is, that everyone can make choices that can lead to a higher quality of life. Dr. Atkinson works extensively with herniated disc patients and those with failed back surgery to teach them how to manage their condition with lifestyle factors, movement patterns, and disc reducing exercises.
