Dr. Atkinson is the clinical director of the Chiropractic Pain & Injury Center. She is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and has been in practice for over 16 years. Dr. Atkinson has received advanced post-doctoral training in Functional Medicine, MRI, spinal biomechanics, disc injuries, and trauma.  Her experience focuses on caring for spinal related issues, which range from trauma related cases as a result of accidents, sports injuries to disc injury cases.

Dr. Atkinson seeks to educate her patients on how to implement therapeutic lifestyle and dietary changes that are critical to achieving optimal health goals. She views each patient relationship as a partnership, is dedicated to assisting her patients in finding the root cause of their issues and determining a strategy for attaining optimal health & wellness.

Dr. Atkinson is currently taking coursework and pursuing certification through the Institute of Functional Medicine. She is also taking coursework in Functional Neurology through the Carrick Institute.  This allows Dr. Atkinson to offer the latest techniques based upon research when caring for her patients while also drawing from many years of practice experience.  Dr. Atkinson has been recognized by the Academy of Chiropractic as a clinician of excellence.
